BBCA  Biomaterial Co.,Ltd,A subsidiary of BBCA , mainly engaged in downstream products of biological material polylactic acid (PLA) ,their research and development, processing and promotion.

Polylactic acid was discovered by American scientists in 1913. It is used in high-end medical materials because of its absorbability in biomedicine. Because of its high cost, its can only be used in asmall range.With the Synthetise of high molecularand high-performance polylactic acid,since 1986,polylactic acid has been considered as a potential daily plastic product. In 1997, PLA was formally achieve large-scale industrial production,the polylactic acid with high purity and high molecularhas marked down prices about two times compared with similar petrochemical products.Europe and Japanese companies began to increase research and development of poly lactic acid’s downstream products.Besides,polylactic acid fiber, film and sheet development has made substantial progress.

So far, some advantages of PLA ,such as environmental protection, innocuity , antisepsis, inflameretarding,biodegradation,have been recognized in worldwide.If we can further lower the production cost, and solve the defects of poly lactic acid during processing, such as temperature toleration ,fiber’s shape and dyeing ability,which can largely replace traditional petroleum based chemical fiber cloth (PET etc.)and chemical plastic (PE, PP, PVC),Then, it becomes a biological materialwith broad market.

At present,BBCA Group is under construction a whole industrial chain processing line of corn--lactic acid--lactide-polylactic acid(PLA) in Anhui guzhen BBCA Biological Industry Base,and speeding up the expand production capacity of polylactic acid, its’ output to reach 1million t/a within five years.BBCA Group will continue to construct production base in global world with rich agricultural
 resources,increase production capacity of PLA, its’ output to reach 10million t/a within ten years,By 2030, the company's polylactic acid production will reach 30 million t / a.

Relying on the key technologies mastered by BBCA Group,May 2016,BBCA Material started construction a polylactic acid products demonstration line project of 3000 tons/year has been operated,the project included a 2000 t/a fiber demonstration line,it’s main produce common fiber(it can be used for producing textiles and non-woven fabrics),differential fiber and tow for cigarette and so on,and a 1000 t/a plastic products demonstration line,it mainly produce plastic packing bag,agricultural plastic film and plastic household products and so on.
BBCA Group established Polylactic Acid Engineering Technology Development Center, set up a R&D center(research and development center),talent training international exchange center and service center,and set up a technical middle testing platform,product development platform,quality testing platform and engineering information platform, It will offer strong technical support to polylactic acid application development.

BBCA materials through R&D and operating demonstration lines,products quality is up to expected target,it has laid a solid foundation for the scale production of polylactic acid products.with the rapid expansion of BBCA Group polylactic acid production capacity,BBCA Material will also synchronous constrution processing line of down-stream products,the processing capacity of polylactic acid will reach 500,000 tons within five years,it includes a 300,000 t/a project of polylactic acid environmental injection products(it mainly produce agricultural plastic film,plastic packing bag and plastic household products and so on),and a project of 200,000 t/a polylactic acid fiber(It mainly produce non-woven fabrics,textile and baby products and so on).BBCA Material plan to construct a 3 million tons/year poly lactic acid downstream products processing line within ten years,by 2025,polylactic acid processing capacity will reach 10 million t/a.

Polylactic acid, as the most promising biomaterial, is highly concerned by the world,BBCA Group will continue to increase investment and reinforce construction  to become a leader of the global polylactic acid products development and application,It makes a great contribution to the green manufacturing of our country and realizes the sustainable development.
